Series of grand graduation held in more areas around the country

Wearing their signature red and white stripes shirts, close to 65,000 participants and their families celebrated the end of the biggest Kiddie Crew Workshop to date through a series of Grand Graduation events. These took place in Pampanga, Batangas, East Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, and culminated in Metro Manila.

With the theme ”Kiddie Crew Got Talent,” McDonald’s treated participants with interactive booth activities to showcase their skills; performances by Ronald and the Gang; Kiddie Crew Ambassador Alonzo Muhlach; and McDonald’s Ambassadors Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali. Highlights of the graduation included the oath taking, ceremonial cap toss, and singing of the Kiddie Crew Anthem.

Kiddie Crew is McDonald’s flagship family program that has been running since 1992. It is a 5-day learning and fun workshop that consists of activities that help develop children’s skills and talents, and harness their values of discipline, hard work, teamwork, responsibility, sharing, and active lifestyle.

The program has evolved through the years and was made more meaningful by extending it to less fortunate children. Select participants visited Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit learning centers in Pasay, Cavite, Bulacan and their beneficiaries enjoyed activities like what a Kiddie Crew does.  McDonald’s also partnered with media organizations and Alonzo Muhlach to extend the Kiddie Crew Workshop to their chosen charities in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao.

“We are pleased to celebrate our biggest Kiddie Crew Workshop yet and to share it to our Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit beneficiaries and chosen institutions. We thank our Kiddie Crew and their parents for choosing to spend their summer with us and we promise to continuously provide enjoyable family moments at McDonald’s,” said Kenneth S. Yang, McDonald’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
